In order to improve the quality of care and expand the spectrum of treatment, oncology in the Hořovice hospital will become part of the Comprehensive Oncology Centre of the Pardubice Region from 1 January 2019, which also includes the Multiscan Pardubice Oncology Centre, which, like the Hořovice Hospital, belongs to AKESO holding, a.s.
Multiscan began operating in the Pardubice hospital in mid-2002, and from the beginning, in connection with the purchase and operation of a linear accelerator, it took over the outpatient care of patients of the Pardubice Region in the field of radiotherapy through its radiotherapy department. In accordance with the concept of oncological care in the Pardubice Region, the Multiscan Radiology Centre operates clinical oncology outpatient clinics in Svitavy, Chrudim and Ústí nad Orlicí. In an effort to continuously improve the quality of care provided, the company operates the Department of Central Preparation of Cytostatics of the subsidiary Multiscan Pharma s.r.o. This department prepares medicines for Multiscan's clinical oncology outpatient clinics and inpatient wards of the Pardubice Regional Hospital for patients with oncological diseases under strict hygiene and safety measures.
