This care is provided in outpatient clinics and inpatient units with full-time care. The core activity of oncology is specialized diagnostic and therapeutic care.

Residential care centre

Provides mainly systemic medical care in the field of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy and symptomatic care.

The outpatient clinic and the inpatient clinic work in close proximity.

The Department's physicians are actively involved in many international committees to oversee this research.

Oncology inpatient ward is moved to a new wing

The Oncology Department is located in a new outpatient wing, which was built outside the main hospital building.

The Oncology Department provides preventive, diagnostic and curative care for cancer patients. This care is provided in outpatient clinics and a day hospital. The department is now located in a new building near the main gatehouse, which is used by ambulances.

In order to improve the quality of care and expand the spectrum of treatment, oncology in the Hořovice hospital will become part of the Comprehensive Oncology Centre of the Pardubice Region from 1 January 2019, which also includes the Multiscan Pardubice Oncology Centre, which, like the Hořovice Hospital, belongs to AKESO holding, a.s.

Multiscan began operating in the Pardubice hospital in mid-2002, and from the beginning, in connection with the purchase and operation of a linear accelerator, it took over the outpatient care of patients of the Pardubice Region in the field of radiotherapy through its radiotherapy department. In accordance with the concept of oncological care in the Pardubice Region, the Multiscan Radiology Centre operates clinical oncology outpatient clinics in Svitavy, Chrudim and Ústí nad Orlicí. In an effort to continuously improve the quality of care provided, the company operates the Department of Central Preparation of Cytostatics of the subsidiary Multiscan Pharma s.r.o. This department prepares medicines for Multiscan's clinical oncology outpatient clinics and inpatient wards of the Pardubice Regional Hospital for patients with oncological diseases under strict hygiene and safety measures.
