Even if not absolutely, at least partially these allergic diseases can be prevented.
The first allergens
The first allergens we encounter after birth are viruses, bacteria and the food we eat. With the presence of viruses and bacteria all around us, we can hardly influence them. On the contrary, it is better not to keep the baby in a "sterile" environment from birth. What can be positively influenced is the food the child receives from birth.
Cow's milk or artificial food?
Because various allergenic substances are present in cow's milk, such as beta-lactalbumin, casein, it can easily become allergic this way. Children fed artificial formula are also more likely to be fed non-dairy foods containing food colourings and preservatives. Therefore, it is better to breastfeed children until at least six months of age.
Other measures
Other preventive measures include not requiring children to attend early childhood centres. By the age of three, the child should be in the family and not in a nursery. This is better not only for his psychological well-being, but also for the prevention of possible allergies. Every year the child's immune system matures, and therefore it makes a big difference whether the child starts attending collective facilities at 2, 3 or 5 years.
It is important that children, especially those from high-risk families, are detected for the first signs of possible allergies. The first signs of an allergic disease. Early and high-quality treatment can prevent the development of allergic disease.
