4. 2. 2020

The Cardiac Centre of the Na Homolce Hospital in cooperation with the Hořovice Hospital organized a seminar on the topic "What moves contemporary cardiology". The seminar took place in the conference room of the Hořovice Hospital and was attended by approximately 40 healthcare professionals.

"Professor Petr Neužil, MD, and his colleagues from the Cardiac Centre at the Na Homolka Hospital spoke during the programme. We are delighted that they accepted the invitation from me and MUDr. Jana Ziková," says Markéta Veverková, MD, Head of the Internal Medicine Department at Hořovice Hospital, who moderated the seminar together with Dr. Ziková.

The seminar was well attended by doctors from the Hořovice hospital, internists from the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun, as well as outpatient internists and general practitioners from the Hořovice area. The main topic of the seminar was the novelties in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, heart defects and heart failure, with particular emphasis on interventional treatment, which is a priority for cardiology at the Hořovice Hospital and goes hand in hand with world trends.

"An important topic was collapse conditions, when Libor Dujka, MD, presented his concept of the Centre for the diagnosis and treatment of collapse conditions (syncope) and offered cooperation in the treatment of our patients," commented Jana Ziková, MD, Deputy Head of the Internal Medicine Department.

The Hořovice Internal Medicine Department has been cooperating with the Cardiac Centre at the Na Homolce Hospital for many years and they have a superior working and human relationship, so it is no coincidence that the event was held in a friendly and relaxed spirit and brought a pleasant experience to all participants.
