Summer suburban camps for children of our employees were held again this year

The facilities for the LPT participants were provided by the 1st Primary School in Hořovice, where the children had at their disposal premises in case of bad weather (classroom, gymnasium) and the school garden for outdoor activities. The children were looked after by leaders and instructors with experience in after-school pedagogy and children's leisure activities.

"The first run of the summer suburban camp took place in July and the children made magic with Harry Potter. They were divided into different dormitories, competed in various events, took part in the Famfball Olympics and at the end the best dormitory was announced. They went on a day trip to Karlštejn Castle, where they had a great time," said Kristýna Kronďáková, head of the summer camp.

"Other camps were in the spirit of the Olympic Games, experiments with water and discovering the animal world. This is a great benefit for the hospital staff, as well as the NEMO children's group, which has its own building on the hospital premises and where we take care of preschool children, while the operating hours of the children's group are adapted to the working hours of the medical staff," described Dana Antalová, head of the NEMO children's group.

Summer suburban camps were also held at our sister hospital, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun.
