"Each of the camps was thematically focused on something different, so the children could choose. Those interested in history spent a week touring Czech castles and chateaus. Another theme was young scientists, for example. At this camp, the children focused on experiments and potions," says Daniela Korosová, head of the Nemo children's group. "The most popular camps, however, were those with the theme of Legos and Tepfactor, and they were the first to be fully booked," she continues.
As every year, the main camp leader was Jana Hlavová, a graduate of the Faculty of Education in Pilsen, who has been working with children for more than 10 years. "The children were very clever. It makes me happy to see their enthusiasm for games. We really enjoyed our trips together. During the individual camps we visited several beautiful places in the Czech Republic. The children were most excited about the Lego factory in Kladno," says the head leader about the camps.
"My 7-year-old daughter participated in the 2nd run of the LPT on the theme of young scientists as part of the NEMO Children's Group. On the first day, Adele's curiosity and anticipation were accompanied by fear of the unknown, but these dissipated almost immediately. Her words after completing the first day were "...mom, cool, cool, cool...!" She looked forward to each day and regularly went home happy and excited. The perfect preparation and approach of the camp leader, the excursions and no room for boredom contributed to the fact that this "dumb" suburban camp was a clear winner for us," praises the organization of the camp Ms. Lenka Frýbertová, Deputy Head of Clinical Laboratories of Hořovice Hospital.
The suburban camps were organised for school-age children. For pre-school children, care is provided in the NEMO children's group, which is intended for children of hospital employees and whose opening hours are adapted to the working hours of medical staff.
