Now the maternity ward has been moved to a closed part of the gynaecology ward, where rooms have been adapted for this purpose. The rooms are equipped with all the equipment in the same comfortable environment that the parturients are used to at the Hořovice Hospital.
One of the first mothers to leave the maternity ward today is Mrs. Jana Broučková from Vysoké Újezd. As she says herself, the birth went exactly the same as the first time in the Hořovice Hospital. "We were informed in advance about the planned reconstruction of the maternity hospital. Of course, there were some small fears, but they turned out to be completely groundless after our arrival. The delivery rooms are exactly the same as the original ones, only they are on a different part of the floor. The birth went without any problems thanks to the friendly and helpful staff, whom I would like to thank," says the mother of little Jakub.
The reconstruction of the premises was already necessary. The number of births in our hospital continues to rise. Last year alone, the total number of babies born in 2018 was 1,795, 50 more than in 2017.
