"We are constantly expanding and improving the quality of medical services in our hospitals, which is also linked to the increasing number of patients who come to our facilities for examinations. Due to insufficient space for filing medical records, we have built a new filing room on the premises of the Hořovice Hospital. We will be able to archive the medical documentation of all Akeso Holding's medical facilities, especially the Hořovice Hospital, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun and the Oncology and Radiology Centre Multiscan Pardubice," says Tomáš Petsinis, the operational and technical deputy of the Hořovice Hospital. In spite of the statutory and sometimes very long time limits for keeping medical, construction, legal or financial documentation, we can provide facilities for all hospital departments. "A completely new building has been built for the filing room, which meets all the requirements for the proper storage of documentation. At the same time, we have purchased modern technical equipment, such as one of the most powerful certified shredding machines, which has a capacity of around 100 kg of waste per hour in normal operation. I would like to thank Mr. Jiří Topinka from the State District Archive Beroun (SOkA), who provided us with expert consultations during the implementation of the filing room," adds Tomáš Petsinis.
"The new separate building of the central filing room of the three hospital facilities built on the premises of the Hořovice Hospital meets all the very high standard requirements for the storage of operational documents and medical records. Unlike the era of state facilities, when documentation was stored in basements with negative effects (mould, etc.), now all three facilities will get a modern facility equipped with a separate study room for patients and a large-capacity shredder to protect personal data of persons from already discarded files," says Mgr. Jiří Topinka, head of the department of SOkA Beroun, adds: "The Beroun archive was happy to provide consultation on the construction itself and on the filing system. The new computerised filing system with implemented filing rules is linked to the existing databases and will provide an immediate overview of the status of analogue (paper) and digital documents. In any case, this is a positive development that is not commonly encountered in healthcare institutions outside large cities."
