During the two days, nearly 200 experts from all over the Czech and Slovak Republic gathered here to share their experiences, discuss current trends and present interesting case studies from their daily practice.
The organisation of this exceptional event was traditionally the work of MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová , head of the neonatal department and manager of the Hořovice Maternity Hospital. "I very much appreciate the fact that we could once again meet in such a large number and share experiences that are extremely important in our field. Case reports often bring not only new knowledge, but also inspiration on how to approach the care of the smallest patients with empathy and professionalism," said MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová.
The conference programme was also busy this year. Participants had the opportunity to listen to dozens of case studies focused on various topics in the field of neonatology, from complex care of premature newborns, through the diagnosis of rare diseases to new approaches in intensive care. The presentations were complemented by discussions that led to an inspiring exchange of views between experts from different departments.
The social evening, held on Thursday 5 June, provided an opportunity for informal meetings and networking. Guests enjoyed the evening with a sumptuous buffet, great live music and an attractive bartending show. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, as is customary at this conference.
At the end of the conference, the participants unanimously agreed that they are already looking forward to the 10th anniversary edition, which will take place in 2026. Over the years, the Neonatal Case Reporting Days have established their firm place in the calendar of professional events and rightly belong among the important meetings of the neonatology community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
