The conference, which is packed with interesting case studies from the field of neonatology and all stages of neonatal care with a focus on newborns from the 30th week of pregnancy, is organized annually by the head of the neonatal department of the Hořovice Hospital, MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová.
"Last year, unfortunately, we were not able to hold the conference because all events of a similar nature were banned due to government measures against the spread of COVID-19. I am all the more glad that this year's conference was successful," says MUDr. Dokoupilová. "The lectures and subsequent discussions on individual case reports once again provided valuable information from practice and I believe that we all took away new knowledge that is very important for our work."
The two-day conference was held at the Zbiroh Castle, near the Hořovice Hospital, from 10 to 11 June. During these two days, 27 case studies were presented and discussed by speakers from hospitals from all over the Czech Republic, including representatives from Slovakia. "The conference also included a social evening, which we enriched with a lecture "Partner Relationships Yesterday and Today" by Laura Janáček, author of books on human relations and communication. We thought it would be appropriate to discuss what actually precedes conception itself," described the headmistress with a laugh.
"I would like to thank the management of Hořovice Hospital and all the companies that took care of the accompanying programme. I am already looking forward to next year and I hope that we will all meet again in good health," added MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová.
