On 22-23 March, the 3rd annual Days of Neonatal Case Studies took place in the beautiful premises of Zbiroh Castle. The conference was intended for doctors and nurses of neonatal wards of all levels of care, with a focus on newborns from the 30th week of pregnancy. This year, almost 200 health professionals from all over the Czech Republic participated in the event, and Slovak colleagues also accepted the invitation.

At the beginning of the conference, the participants were welcomed by MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová, head of the Hořovice neonatology department and the main organizer of the conference, MUDr. Martin Čihař, vice-chairman of the Czech Neonatology Society, and Blanka Červenková, head nurse of the Hořovice hospital. "As in previous years, there was great interest in the event. The possibilities of transferring experience in the field of neonatology are very limited, so I am very pleased that our conference Days of Neonatal Case Studies has become one of the well-known and recognized national conferences," says Milena Dokoupilová, M.D., who is the guarantor of the conference.

Over the course of 2 days, four dozen case reports of newborns born from the 30th week of pregnancy were discussed live. This is a unique opportunity to exchange practical experience between very experienced and novice doctors, which can contribute to faster diagnosis and therapy of some neonatal conditions.

"I believe these two days have provided very valuable information for all involved. I would like to thank Hořovice Hospital for all the support and the companies for complementing the professional programme. According to the feedback from the participants, I believe that we will meet again next year in such a large number," praises MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová.
