"I consider the meeting with representatives of health and social service providers in the Beroun and Hořovice regions to be very beneficial. The mutual discussion after the individual presentations opened up a number of new topics and it was extremely interesting for us to hear what activities individual organisations are already carrying out or plan to carry out in the future to support the seriously ill," says MUDr. Mahulena Exnerová, head of the children's ward and DIOP, guarantor of the field of palliative medicine at the Hořovice hospital and paediatrician at the mobile hospice Cesta domů.
"I would like to thank the town of Hořovice for their help in organizing the event and providing beautiful premises. I consider it important to know about each other, to get to know each other personally and to be able to provide our seriously ill patients and caring families with truly comprehensive care and support both in the hospital and in the home environment. This includes passing on comprehensive information about the social and health services they can use."
"We would like to repeat the meeting next year and we are considering inviting the public as well, so that they can learn directly about the possibilities of supportive and palliative care and discuss their real needs together with experts," says Mgr. Lada Hýlová, social worker at Hořovice Hospital.
