The Central Operating Rooms provide facilities for surgical procedures in various surgical specialties, including trauma surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and urology. The Central Operating Rooms are operationally separate from other departments and consist ofstate-of-the-art operating rooms located on the 2nd floor of the new building.
The entire complex of operating rooms is fully air-conditioned. The operating room wing also includes a recovery room. Here, patients are monitored after surgery until they are fully awake. Once stabilized, patients are then transferred to a standard ward or the ICU.
The operating rooms operate around the clock.
The primary goal of the care provided in the Central Operating Rooms department is patient safety. Patient safety in the operating rooms is ensured by:
- implementing safety protocols (patient identification and identification of the surgical site);
- the use of disposable drapes;
- proper hand disinfection;
- positioning the patient using positioning aids;
- the use of modern, safe equipment.
Robotic Surgery with the da Vinci Xi System
In our central operating rooms, we perform selected surgeries using the da Vinci Xi robotic system, which represents the cutting edge of modern surgical technology. During the procedure, the surgeon controls the robotic instruments with maximum precision, allowing for a gentler approach to the surgical site.
Advantages of robot-assisted surgery:
- a gentler, minimally invasive surgical procedure,
- less blood loss,
- less postoperative pain,
- faster healing and recovery.
Specialties in which we use the robotic system:
- Urology
- Gynecology
- General Surgery
