In the new Hořovice council, the hospital collective will be indirectly "represented" by two employees: the head nurse of the blood transfusion department, Jana Šrámková, a well-known matador of municipal politics in Hořovice, and a young doctor of the dental department, MUDr. Antonín Spal. Both ran on the list of the Independent Movement for the Harmonious Development of Towns and Villages, which received the most votes in Hořovice. The electoral success of Jana Šrámkova is particularly notable, who with 679 votes received the most votes of all the candidates.
Mrs Šrámková, in her role as head nurse of the blood transfusion station, is known to thousands of blood donors not only from Hořovice, but also from the entire Berounsko region. For many years, she has been the "soul" of this department, which boasts the highest number of donors - 11,000 - in the entire Central Bohemian Region. He has been involved in organizing social life in Hořovice for many years. It sets an example for everyone, even in situations where few would expect it. For example, two months ago, Ms Šrámková literally shocked many of her colleagues and the hospital management. It turned out by complete accident that she had as many as a hundred blood donations to her credit as a blood donor.
On Monday, 13 October 2014, the day after the election results were announced, Ms Šrámková worked at her workplace just like every other day. After finishing the blood donations at the blood transfusion station, she was visited by representatives of the management of the Hořovice hospital, i.e. Deputy Director Tomáš Petsinis and Head Nurse Blanka Červenková, who, on behalf of the staff and the owner of the hospital Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis congratulated her on her electoral success and presented her with flowers. They also wished her health and resilience in her new tasks. At the same time, they expressed their wish that the two "representatives" of Hořovice Hospital would help the new council to improve the relations between the hospital and the new management of Hořovice - in particular, to solve the pressing problem of patient parking at the hospital.
