The situation with regard to the supply of vaccines is going well

We currently vaccinate up to 250 people per day, every day, including some Saturdays. This week we are vaccinating people over 70 years of age and teaching staff. The teachers' group is already almost completely vaccinated with the first dose and next week we will vaccinate only patients over 70 years of age.

We will be releasing hundreds more places for next week on Friday or Saturday, so we ask those who belong to this group and have not yet made a reservation to do so soon. A booking sms to those who have already registered will be sent in the next few days.

The order for vaccination is not set by the hospital and does not depend on when you register, but patients are ranked by a central system according to age, so the oldest of the group always come to our hospital for registration.

We anticipate that the supply of vaccines will be similar in the coming weeks, so the capacity of our vaccination centre will increase significantly.

Since 1 March, GPs have also been given the opportunity to vaccinate against COVID-19 by receiving the vaccine from AstraZeneca, which has lower storage requirements. If you are interested in being vaccinated by your GP, please consult them directly. However, if you have booked to be vaccinated at our vaccination centre, you will need to change your vaccination location via the registration system or call centre on 1221.

We have noted some errors in the booking system, so if you are in a group, particularly 80+, and have not received a response to your booking, please address this situation on 1221. You will be allocated to your vaccination according to your age. We have places available for people 80+ once registration and booking has taken place.

It is not within our ability to resolve the issue of patients who are unable to attend the vaccination centre. These patients will be dealt with by GPs or mobile vaccination teams who can be contacted on 1221.

We would like to remind you that vaccination cannot be given to patients who are in quarantine, have a current febrile illness or are less than 90 days since contracting COVID-19. We ask that these patients, if invited to be vaccinated, wait for resolution of symptoms, end of quarantine or expiration of the 90 day period and then re-register, they will be re-enrolled in the system according to age, therefore they will be on the waiting list shortly after the next registration.
