Record participation of neonatologists in the Hořovice neonatal case conference

At the opening of the conference the participants were greeted and wished fruitful results by MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová, head of the neonatology department in Hořovice and the main organizer of this pioneering event, MUDr. Martin Sklenář from the management of NH Hospital a.s. and also MUDr. Martin Čihař, member of the committee of the Czech Neonatology Society.

"There are relatively few conferences dedicated to neonatology in the Czech Republic. Therefore, I am very glad that our neonatology department managed to organize such a successful event for the second time, where over two hundred experts from all corners of the country exchanged valuable information and their experience", says MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová. "Our conference was intended for medical and non-medical staff of neonatal wards. I must say that our initiative met with unprecedented interest. We had to make a lot of effort to provide accommodation for so many guests whose presence far exceeds the accommodation capacity of Hořovice. The presentations of neonatal case reports were, I hope, interesting and beneficial to our audience and we will look forward to more expert presentations next year," says the Hořovice chief medical officer.

Both days of the conference were marked by joint work and exchange of experience not only during the official programme, but also during private discussions of all participants. The owner of the Hořovice hospital, Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis.

Appreciation for the whole event belongs not only to the management of Hořovice Hospital, which made this unique meeting possible and financially ensured it for the most part, but also to the partners of the conference and especially to the organizers of both days under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer Milena Dokoupilová. This meeting of neonatologists represents the second big event for the Hořovice hospital in a few days. Exactly one week ago, at the same place, Hořovice Hospital hosted the III. IBD working days, a meeting of about 150 surgeons and gastroenterologists from all over the country.
