"These premises are among the last that have not undergone major reconstruction. Considering the age of the surgeries, a complete renovation was a necessity. Of course, it is not only about a better appearance, but also the practical implications for patients and medical staff. I believe that the decision to modernise and rebuild has come at the right time," says Tomáš Petsinis, the operational and technical director of the Hořovice hospital.
The above-mentioned departments will be temporarily moved to the newly renovated ward on the second floor near the elevator, in the premises where the operating theatres were located in the past. The exception is the dental ward, which will be out of operation for two weeks and will then operate in the existing premises. The total estimated time of the reconstruction will last until mid-July this year.
"The hospital cash desk will also be temporarily relocated to the same premises on the second floor, which will also undergo reconstruction. The repaired outpatient clinics, the new equipment, as well as the overall comfort that is already beginning to appear in the repaired parts of the hospital will certainly be appreciated by patients and employees," added Tomas Petsinis.
