Reconstruction of the maternity hospital takes final shape

28. 8. 2019

The reconstruction of the delivery boxes at the Hořovice Hospital, which began in the spring of this year, is nearing its final stage.

"Due to unexpected construction work, the reconstruction of the delivery rooms will be extended until October this year," says Tomáš Petsinis, the Deputy Director of Operations and Technical Services at Hořovice Hospital, adding: "The expansion of the maternity ward premises was necessary due to the ever-increasing number of parturients. The new rooms will bring more comfort to the mothers and will be equipped with more modern equipment. The maternity ward has now been relocated to the closed part of the gynaecology ward, where the rooms have been adapted for this purpose."

Due to the redevelopment, ward tours, which are normally offered to expectant mothers at antenatal classes, are now suspended .
