Hořovice Maternity Hospital set several records in 2015. For the first time in its fifty-four-year history , it recorded 1,580 births last year, which is forty more than in the previous year, confirming its exceptional position in the Central Bohemia Region. Furthermore, triplets were born here for the first time in the history of the maternity hospital and in June the maternity hospital recorded 35,000 babies.
The first birth in 2016 took place naturally. Kačenka Krbcová was the second born to her mother in 16 years. Her older brother David is waiting for her at home. Her mother gave birth for the first time in the then Beroun maternity hospital. According to her, it is impossible to compare the two maternity hospitals. "I didn't hesitate at all about choosing the maternity hospital. Not only because of the short distance from Králův Dvůr to Hořovice, but also because of the very favourable references. I am very satisfied here. The facilities are above standard and they take good care of us", says Mrs. Csergeová. She expresses her gratitude to the doctors and nurses who helped her during the birth.
"The birth of a newborn baby is always a big event in our maternity hospital, so we give mothers a package from the pharmacy. Kačenka's mother deserves it because her birth was not easy," says Věra Pavlů, MUDr. Věra Pavlů, the newly appointed head of the Hořovice maternity hospital. She helped her younger colleague MUDr. Andrea Jahelková - Švamberková, who led the birth. "The situation around midnight was not easy, because two births were taking place at the same time. Four minutes after Kačenka, another baby girl was born," said the Hořovice headmistress.
