Hospital on wheels, or "Someone rides and someone rides"

The first joint cycling trip of the employees of the Hořovice hospital took place on Friday 26th June and it was certainly not a unique event. A volleyball tournament was already held in May and other events, such as participation in the Dragon Boat Race on the Berounka River, are planned. As the participants themselves say, it is important to meet colleagues outside the workplace.

The bike ride was not only for active athletes, but also recreational cyclists, because the carefully planned route was not demanding. During the route, there was also one refreshment station waiting for the "bikers" in the form of an escort car carrying water, juice and tarts. One of the participants, Jitka Kubovčiaková from the hospital administration, confirms that there was no shortage of fun. "I haven't had the opportunity to ride a bike properly for a long time and I'm glad I did," said Ms Kubovčiaková with a smile.

The cyclists also tried the role of a service technician, when it was necessary to change and glue the inner tube of the bike, they overcame the pitfalls of forest potholes and light carambolas. They were rewarded not only with magical views of the countryside, but also with a final refreshment at the Ranch Guesthouse back in Hořovice.
One more joint bike trip is planned before the end of the holidays, to which all hospital employees are already cordially invited. Details will be communicated in due course.
