PhDr. Drahomíra Boubínová, a long-time director of the school, also praises the established cooperation, as she knows that without a close connection to practice, it is impossible to effectively educate future health care workers. The practical training is attended by pupils of the 3rd and 4th grades, who work under the guidance of professional teachers, station nurses or other authorized staff. In exposed locations such as ICU, ARO, operating theatres or the delivery room, placements are handled in the form of small groups of pupils. Here, external teachers from among nurses and doctors who work closely with the school are also used. "The great thing is that both the specialist teachers and our pupils have the opportunity to attend the hospital's educational seminars, which they are happy to take advantage of to the best of their ability," said Headmistress Boubínová.
Graduates of the medical school are very well placed in the labour market. "However, the constant legislative changes in the training of health care workers force them to continue their studies, and therefore only a small fraction of them enter practice after the graduation exam, despite the fact that both hospitals allow their employees to continue their studies while working", lamented the school director. She also said that a functioning link between the school and the surrounding social and working environment is one of the main prerequisites for effective vocational training. "I am glad that we are successful in this cooperation. For all the work and achievements that spread the good name of our school, I would like to thank especially the management and staff of both hospitals, but also the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school," the headmistress said.
A short film (see below), which was directed and filmed by the students of the final year of the medical assistant course as part of their graduation, also testifies to the mutual friendliness. The Hořovice Hospital was the background for the filming.
