Hello, Doctor, Mr. Chief,
On behalf of the entire family, I would like to express our immense gratitude and thanks to the entire staff for the few weeks you cared for our daughter in the DIOP (and later for a while in the pediatric unit) after her neuromuscular scoliosis surgery.
I'm a step-mom, also a physician, a neurologist, and I realize all too well that if anything in the system is hugely challenging, it is the role of caregiver, whether it is for a disabled elderly or palliative patient with whom I work, or for a disabled or long-term limited child who is your ward.
Despite my background in healthcare, our family's surgery and our daughter's post-surgical recovery was a scare that paralyzed us for at least a year before it even occurred. We actually went 6 weeks without verticalization during her last surgery in 2024 and it pretty much left a scar on all of us.
However, thanks to our stay at DIOP, we as caregivers could breathe a sigh of relief knowing that someone would not only provide our child with basic physiological needs, but also add real rehabilitation, a coughing assistant and other necessities (for a patient like our daughter) that are absolutely not reflected in the hospitalization at FNM, for example, due to the lack of capacity of the nursing staff and must be arranged by the family themselves. All this knowing that my daughter had mental support and lots of warm human words from all the staff, volunteers (and Kajci) in addition to physical care.
So for every informal caregiver and parent, we are truly VERY thankful, it sounds like a cliché, but DIOP's services have been such a capacity release for us that we don't get often in our lives and with a disabled child.
We also wanted to ask - is there a bigger meeting or group event coming up where more staff members will be together? We'd like to send out a small thank you package, and it would probably be helpful if it got to as many people as possible while it's fresh :-)
If not, it'll just show up in the department sometime...

Dear Internal Medicine staff, Let me take this opportunity to say a few words in thanks for your wonderful care, patience, support and belief in my better tomorrow. It was not easy for me to find myself on the other side - the patient side. I know how difficult the work of us health professionals is. It's a job, and often one has to clench one's fists in today's world where anger and ingratitude reign.
The first few days were not the best. I tried to accept everything as it was. It is because of your empathy, kindness and care that I have succeeded. At that moment you were angels in the IMP, whether nurses or doctors. Thank you MD Benes for your humanity, empathy and humor. It made me understand that even so, it is possible to make a person's situation easier, especially when they are unwell - not only with your expertise, but also with your humanity. I also thank both doctors, MUDr. Žirovnická and MUDr. Dolenská.
They say that great staff is the hallmark of good management. Your head nurse Pavlina is the spirit of the department - always helpful, human, kind and empathetic. She deserves a great deal of thanks and admiration for managing such a demanding ward of often helpless patients perfectly. You are a well-knit team - from nurses to orderlies. A team where humanity, understanding and good care prevail. I know that you will not be able to thank all the people, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care. It can't be paid for. I appreciate it very much. Believe me, although I didn't like spending my days in bed, it was a pleasant stay. May all of you - doctors, nurses and orderlies (I would hate to forget anyone) - continue to be the same. You are doing your job to the best of your ability. Even when the mood is often not right, you put your heart into your work.
My wish for you is that your hearts are hurt as little as possible by human anger, that they are only happy and feel as much gratitude as possible for your incredible work.

Dear Management of Hořovice Hospital,
I am contacting you because I would like to express my gratitude to the team of doctors and nurses who treated me in the emergency room on 24.2.2026 from 8:45 to 11:00 a.m.
I was rushed to the hospital by the ER with very high blood pressure, weak and full of anxiety. I am now going through a very difficult time in my life after losing my mother and arranging things related to that. I was even more struck by the incredible understanding, kindness and humanity with which your Urgent Care staff treated me.
Even though the results of the examination did not show acute physical damage, the most important thing that the kind nurse and other staff in particular gave me was peace of mind and a sense of security. Their helpful attitude was as important to me at that moment as the medication given.
Please pass on my thanks to all the team who were on duty at the time on the morning of 24 February. They are people in their place and are giving your hospital a great name.

They were able to communicate with the children and gain their trust. I never encountered them making light of their difficulties etc. Thank you for all of this. I would like to express my gratitude for the care I received during my delivery and subsequent stay.
Please give a special thanks especially to Dr. Kunclová and Ms. Jitka Žaludová, who were absolutely excellent throughout the entire delivery. I greatly appreciate their helpfulness, humanity and ease of communication. You could feel that they really like their work. They really studied my birth plan - including points I had forgotten during the birth itself :). Their way of communicating with me and my husband, their naturalness and human approach was a huge support for us.
We are still touched that someone could be so supportive at such a crucial time in our lives. This was my first birth and I was apprehensive, but thanks to them I will carry the wonderful experience into the future.
Thanks also go to all the staff in the sixth form and neonatology department. Thanks to your approach I was never afraid to ask anything and everything was always explained to me patiently. I went to the sixth ward with apprehension because I had heard many stories from women from other maternity wards, but your approach and the beautiful premises of the maternity ward were a very pleasant surprise and gave me peace of mind and a feeling of security.

Hello,
I would like to thank you sincerely and from the bottom of my heart for the care you provided us in the maternity ward of Hořovice Hospital. I felt the need to write to you because what you do is very meaningful.
We knew the hospital in Hořovice from before. In the past years we visited it several times because of injuries or illnesses of children from our summer children's camp, which we organize every year in Cheznovice near Hořovice. Even then we had a very good experience with the hospital, and this contributed to the decision that my friend decided to give birth here.
Although we live approximately 200 km from Hořovice, the distance did not play any role for us. In retrospect, we can say that it was absolutely the right decision.
From the very first contact, we perceived the calm and modern environment, the well-equipped delivery rooms, and above all the extremely human, empathetic and at the same time highly professional approach of the entire staff. A big thank you to the team of the gynaecology and obstetrics department, as well as to our colleagues from the six-week-old and neonatology departments.
Unfortunately, there were complications during the delivery. However, it was in these moments that your professionalism, cohesiveness and calmness were on full display. Thanks to the quick and correct decisions of the whole team, we did not lose our baby. We consider the fact that we can be at home with our daughter today as a result of your professionalism, experience and human approach.

Dear Chief Nurse, Dear Chief Nurse, I am writing to you to express my deep gratitude to both of your departments. Less than three months ago, my daughter was born with you, and even with the passage of time, I remember my days spent in your hospital with great gratitude.
I would like to thank all the staff in the delivery rooms, gynaecology, sixth-room and neonatology - from doctors and nurses to orderlies and cleaners. Throughout my stay, I did not feel like a "patient", but a woman who was cared for with respect and concern. I appreciate immensely that I never felt that I was bothering anyone with my questions, requests or presence. The doctors and nurses here do an absolutely wonderful job. It was very helpful that everything was always explained to me in a clear way and that whenever I was unsure, the staff was willing to advise me. It was this humane and patient approach that gave me the peace of mind and confidence I needed in the first days with my daughter.
I also very much appreciate the comprehensive care you offer mothers. I consider the possibility of using the services of a lactation consultant and a doula directly in the hospital to be a key support for women at such an important time in their lives.

Dear Mr. Director, Dear Mr. Chief Medical Officer,
My wife, L.T., and our son, L.T., were hospitalized with you in December: my wife in gynecology (childbirth and then abdominal wall infection), my son in pediatrics (flu). I wanted to thank you very much for all the care they received. Starting with the doctors (with a particularly deep bow to Maria Pohořeleska, MD, who treated my wife with unprecedented care, including follow-up outpatient wound checks), to the nurses, to the lowest staff. Just before that, both of them were hospitalized in Motol, and the incredible helpfulness of your staff compared to the Motol one stood out all the more: nothing was a problem, everything could be agreed upon, everyone was nice, in short, I cannot praise your hospital enough. As an icing on the cake, when I left the hospital, I paid full parking for three days, whereas I should have paid only 250 CZK per day as part of my hospitalisation. I am refunding the overpayment with Mr. Kadlec, who is again very helpful, answering even outside working hours.
Once again, thank you very much and I applaud you for such a great staff.

Last week our son was born in the maternity hospital in Hořovice. I would like to thank you for all the care I received during pregnancy and after the birth. I went to the maternity clinic to see Dr. Pohořelská, who was always kind and willing to answer all my questions.
I would like to thank my midwife Jungwirth, whom I chose as part of my individual care for parturients. It is great that you offer this service. The assistant and Dr Pelikánová were a great support for me during the birth. They were both absolutely wonderful. They made my birth a beautiful and respectful experience.
We took advantage of staying in the family room in the Sixth Ward, where our older son was with us. Thank you for all the care and kind attitude of all the staff. We would like to thank Dr. Šustrová and all the nurses who cared for our Adam beautifully. We could not have asked for better care.

Last September, I had my first surgery at your hospital in the gynecology department to find out what was really going on in my abdomen. The results from the CT scan were not clear enough. This was followed by treatment in oncology to shrink the tumour and have it removed. During that time I was troubled by various problems which I referred to your outpatient clinic and evening emergency room several times. There, too, I met with a very helpful attitude. The second operation took place at the end of January this year. The follow-up oncological treatment is now underway.
I am very happy to say that I was very satisfied with the course of treatment and especially with the attitude of all the staff. From Mr. Teslik, the chief physician, to the other doctors, nurses and all the support staff. They were all very nice, helpful, not to mention professionally knowledgeable. Even the environment and equipment is very pleasant. I never thought that I could say that it was fine about my stay in the hospital. With you it was.

Please allow us to thank and express our gratitude to the Hořovice Hospital, or rather to the maternity hospital U Sluneční brány, where our daughter Rozárie P. was born on 12 January this year. For de facto Czech prices (we paid extra for an individual midwife and then a family postpartum room) we received an environment, services, care at a level attacking Swiss private clinics. Moreover, it is close to the beautiful nature of Křivoklátsko, where we moved from the capital a few years ago. Which is an unprecedented combination!
All the staff treated us kindly, cordially and professionally. In particular, we would like to mention MUDr. Dita Pelikánová and midwife Dana Roková. They both contributed not only to the fact that we have a healthy and happy daughter Rozarka, but also that her mother had a nice pregnancy and took away a beautiful experience from the birth.

Hello 14.12.2024 my daughter was born with you Zorka❤️ we come from Vejprnice from Pilsen and going to you was the best decision in my life. I have never experienced such humanity in any hospital, and especially not in the maternity ward of the hospital in Pilsen, from all the staff who took turns during my 3 day stay with you. Everyone always treated me very politely and with a smile, which is sadly a rarity these days. Your head nurse in the neonatal ward is a wonderful lady in her own right. The midwife and doctor who were present at my birth were great, they partly took away the horrible memories I have of my first birth, they were patient with me and made me feel safe when they were with me as if I knew it would all work out and it did. Zorinka just turned 13 months today and she is just blossoming, she is learning a lot of mischief from her little brother, but she is still completely different from him. And I just wanted to say a big thank you for all this ♥️
I'm also a nurse and work with a lot of staff and would be interested in your know how that your staff can be kind and helpful in any situation. You have also opened my eyes as well by the fact that even though you had the ward closed due to the increase in respiratory illnesses, the baby's daddy and sibling could come in at any time as they are not visitors but family ♥️ and that is how it should be everywhere, unfortunately it is the complete opposite.
In short I praise you always and everywhere and recommend you to all my pregnant friends.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the above-standard care we received during the birth of our daughter E. at the Hořovice Maternity Hospital.
The premises of the maternity ward, gynaecology and sixth-room ward are perfectly equipped, there is a pleasant atmosphere and in the family apartment where we stayed we felt like in a five-star hotel.
The people working in the ward are amazing, whether it was the doctors, nurses, midwives, cleaners - in a word, angels! I wish every employer had such amazing staff because they are the ones who make this maternity ward a place that has heart.
In particular, I would like to thank MUDr. Veronika Kadeřábková and midwife Marketa Korcová, thanks to whom the birth was quick and the whole process was conducted in a pleasant atmosphere and I will remember it very fondly. I would also like to thank the head nurse Mgr. P. Fíkarová not only for her care, but especially for her team. ALL the nurses who took care of me were incredibly kind, empathetic, smiling, helpful.
I live in Dobris, and the women I know from my home and surrounding areas who have attended or given birth in your ward have high praise for not only the environment, but especially the doctors/physicians and staff. I am very pleased, because I also have a warm relationship with the whole hospital, having worked there for several years. Especially your department has always had an excellent reputation and still maintains it.

I would like to express my admiration for the way you are managing and developing the hospitals in Hořovice and Beroun.
Last week I had a rather complicated hernia operation in Hořovice. All the care was of an excellent standard. I would like to thank the chief physician, MUDr. Zeithaml, and his team for the excellent care.
The evening after the operation I had a small collapse and within 1 minute of ringing the bell a qualified nurse and doctor were with me. I have experience with top clinics in Prague, but your facility far exceeds these clinics in patient care. Everything worked flawlessly.
In this context, I wonder why you are doing well and others are having problems ?
I wish you every success in implementing your other ideas for the development of hospitals in Beroun and Hovorice.

On the night of October 2 to October 3, 2023 I was treated at the Urgent Intake of the Internal Medicine Outpatient Department - UP at the Hospital in Horovice, by Dr. Inna Demchenko. My problem was high blood pressure up to 227/121. I was very pleased and reassured by the absolutely professional and also empathetic approach of the doctor, who handled the situation with complete calm and precision, although my organism did not react as quickly as expected. Nevertheless, she managed to get the problems under control and after reassurance of a favourable outcome I was discharged to home care. The next morning, the doctor personally phoned me and verified that everything was fine. I was extremely pleased with such a great approach to the patient.
I would like to thank Dr. Demchenko, as well as her colleague on duty, whose name I do not know, very much and wish her every personal and professional success.
And I would like to thank your hospital for having such a great staff.

I have never met such pleasant doctors, nurses who love their work. Kindness, helpfulness, empathy are qualities that these people really have. So I met with Mudr. Kulkova and Pelikánová and their nurses.
These ladies "broke down" all my fears and this is the best care I can afford for me and my child.

Hello, two weeks ago my son Štěpán was born in the Hořovice maternity hospital and I would like to thank you for the wonderful care for which I am very grateful. I would most like to get pregnant and give birth again, even if it is no longer in the plan, which is probably saying it all. Even the counselling sessions in pregnancy were always pleasant, with no stress or long waits. Dr Pelikan is a miracle, always smiling, she describes everything beautifully, I never felt like I was bothering her or she didn't have time, I always looked forward to meeting her. I've been to other doctors several times, they were always pleasant too, same with the nurses/midwives. I was seen in the delivery room by midwife Catherine Meegan and I still say now that I was more lucky than sensible, she was the best thing to happen to me in the room. At every moment I felt like she knew what she was doing, that I was in the best hands, I had absolute trust in her. She was professional, yet kind, empathetic, calm. If I happened to give birth again and it was possible to arrange to accompany her to the birth, I think I would take advantage of it, because it would be great to have the reassurance of having a great professional like Mrs Meegan at my birth. As for the doctor at the birth, it was such a bugbear of mine during my pregnancy who I would meet there. At one point, I was pretty attached to the fact that I had to somehow hit the right time for Dr. Pelikan to be on duty. Of course, you don't usually plan the beginning of labor completely. :-) In the end, Dr. Andert showed up at my birth and I am very glad that he did. I would never have thought that a doctor could have such a sensitive and empathetic approach, especially a male doctor. But Dr. Andert was probably made for the job, his soothing voice was exactly what I needed, especially when there were some complications after the birth, first with my son and then with me. Because of the revision, Dr Pohořelská was then called in, I slept through most of her presence, but before and after the revision she was very pleasant and tried to explain everything well, even though I was "a bit" panicked. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the pediatrician who treated my son after birth, but she was very young and was like an angel at that moment. I was worried that my son would be fine, but she was so calm and explained everything beautifully that I got the feeling that everything would be absolutely fine and after that I wasn't worried anymore. Also, the other doctors and nurses in neonatology and in the sixth ward were great, friendly, helpful. And not only them, all the staff I met were great. I didn't meet a single person who was unpleasant, which was great, you feel comfortable right away, even when the hormones are working and you're not in your familiar surroundings. I also found the lactation consultant Lucie Daňková very helpful, she was a kind of a clue for me in the six-week ward, she helped me a lot mentally. So did the doula, whose name I unfortunately don't remember. At the moment when the full moon of not lactating fell on me, she really supported me. I must add that I am currently breastfeeding without formula, I hope it will last us.

I was hospitalized in the Gynecology Department from 18.10. to 23.10.2021. Hořovice University Hospital, where I underwent an operation performed by the Chief Medical Officer, MUDr. Leoš Teslík, whom I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart. I am now free of previous problems and I am very grateful for the care and perfect surgery. From the moment I arrived at the hospital until the end of my stay, I appreciated the professional approach of all the staff at the Hořovice Hospital. I appreciate the personal and human approach of the whole team and the information about my surgery and recovery, which helped me a lot to dispel my psychological fears about the surgery. Therefore, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the doctors (MUDr. Jan Ševít, MUDr. Aleš Klán, station nurse Marcela Kadeřábková and all the nurses, as well as to the other staff in the gynaecology department who took care of me both as an outpatient and during the operation and in the postoperative room on the 3rd floor. On 15.9.2021 my daughter Anezka was born in the maternity hospital U Sluneční brány and I would like to thank all the staff who took care of me on the day of delivery. From the reception, through the regular monitors after two hours, to the delivery, I did not encounter a single problem or unpleasant person. Even though there was a "rip in the bag" with the births that day, and everyone was certainly "in over their heads", they treated me very nicely and I didn't feel like I was in a hospital at all.
A big thank you to midwife Natalia Plešmídová, who professionally and especially empathetically guided me through the whole birth together with doctor Pelikánová. They both communicated with me, explained everything to me and patiently endured my hysteria. Even though I said I never wanted to give birth again, it is true that the pain is not forgotten, but the more the birth gets farther away, the more it is in a "fog" and I remember it in a good way thanks to the doctor and midwife.
With my next pregnancy, your maternity hospital will again be the obvious choice and I will wish I had such great staff at my birth again.

Dear Director.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank your hospital and specifically the ARO department.
In this difficult time, Covid did not avoid me. I was hospitalized in the ARO department at the end of March and after a few hours put into artificial sleep and put on artificial pulmonary ventilation.
After a few days, the doctors performed a tracheostomy on me.
My hospitalization was complicated and I was awakened from artificial sleep a total of three times and put back to sleep due to deterioration of my condition. Fortunately, everything went well and I was discharged home after 74 days of absolutely excellent and professional care.
So I would like to thank you once again for saving my life.
My thanks go to all the doctors, nurses, "brothers" , orderlies and rehabilitation nurses of the ARO department.

On Saturday, 15th May, I gave birth for the second time to a beautiful baby girl named Barbora at the Maternity Hospital U Sluneční brány and I would like to thank everyone who participated not only in the antenatal care, during the whole delivery, but also in the postnatal care of me and the baby.
A big thank you goes especially to Dr. Maria Pohořelská, whose incredible optimism and gynaecological expertise accompanied me during the last four weeks of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the midwife and the doctor at the birth, but I could not have asked for a better experience and support from them in the last hours. Undoubtedly a big plus was the luxurious equipment of the delivery rooms and the overall impression of the environment.
Of course, huge admiration goes to the whole team of the sixth-form ward, who do an incredibly challenging yet excellent job every day. The lactation team and the counselling team are also definitely worth mentioning. I would like to thank Mrs. Lucie Daňková for her outstanding support during breastfeeding (she did not have it easy with our Barča, as well as in the case of our first daughter Eliška - both higher values for jaundice).
I wish you all the best of luck and strength in the birth of a new life.
Thank you for letting me take care of myself for the second (and hopefully last :)) time in your maternity hospital.

it's been over a year since I gave birth to my second son with you. I have thought several times that it would be nice to let you know a huge thank you and a big compliment for your work. The birth was more or less uneventful, fairly quick, a little more painful than the first one probably due to the fact that I opened within 2 hours. Probably nothing worth mentioning so far, as everything was according to my wishes with no muffling etc. In retrospect, however, I realized after giving birth how often you have to face completely illogical urges and expectations. Although I consider myself to be a fairly compliant patient and this was my second birth, for some unfathomable reason I decided on the day of delivery that I didn't want to give birth. I refused to believe the contractions, and when Dr. Jahelkova came into the room saying that we had to deliver because the baby was not well, I stubbornly convinced her that no, we would wait. When asked what we should wait for, I replied that we had to wait for the next contraction. When arguing that another contraction was just prolonging the pain (which I hated too bravely), I simply said I wasn't ready yet. The doctor was patient, she argued, she explained, and everything proceeded calmly, logically, despite the fact that I wasn't thinking logically at all, even though my son was starting to have tachycardia. I delivered him in one contraction, without injury. To this day, I can't explain my actions, but it made me all the more aware of how fragile the process of childbirth is, the hormonal storms it faces, and how much mental strength it must take to be empathetic and calm when a mom stands her head up against all clear and compelling indicators.
I would like to thank Dr. Jahelka and midwife Babicka. I have a healthy, thriving and smiling son.

today is two weeks since we gave birth to our little boy Tony at the Sluneční brána maternity hospital. In all the hustle and bustle and rush of emotions, I unfortunately did not look at the name tag of the midwife who attended to us. So I will try to find the name of the nurse and express my thanks. The nurse admitted me on August 5 at 7:00 for induction. I gave birth in labour room number 4 and at 12:37 Antonín Kubizňák was born. The nurse was very helpful, kind and smiling. My husband and I would like to thank her so much for helping us bring this wonderful treasure into the world with her presence and great attitude. She was absolutely wonderful and thanks to her, I already remember the birth as a wonderful experience. Thank you very much once again!
If it were possible, my husband is going to return the scale to the nurse's office on Saturday, we would leave some small tokens of thanks for the nurse. Is it possible to do it this way?

Considering my already 3rd complicated pregnancy and the subsequent complicated delivery, which was again conducted by section and at the 33rd week and its duration was definitely not standard. I am wholeheartedly grateful to these two doctors for their absolutely impeccable performance. These are true heroes to me and deserve the highest possible recognition and award. I must not forget that throughout my entire hospitalization, I did not encounter anyone I had anything to criticize. My praise goes to everyone, from the paramedics to the nurses and doctors, including the Neonatology Department, to the Headmistress Milena Dokoupilova and to everyone in this department, where they took care of my son Kubik 1580g 22.3.2020 for the second time with love for their work.

I'm very sorry that I didn't manage to fill in the satisfaction questionnaire before my discharge from the six-week ward, so I decided to write to you at least in this form and thank you for the really wonderful moments I had there.
Thank you to everyone I had the chance to meet and especially thank you to Dr. Pelikánová, who was at my birth and who, when I met her at the reception, gave me the creeps because I really loved her! At the same time, a big thank you goes to the midwife whose name I unfortunately don't remember, but I think her name was Markéta (a nice, tall, slim blonde), who was really great at calming me down at a crucial moment during the birth, and together with the doctor was responsible for the fact that I have really wonderful memories of my birth and I felt during it that they really cared about my wishes and feelings. Despite the fact that I had no birth plan or wishes, because I trust the doctors and medical staff, after all you guys are specialists, my wish to have nice memories of my birth was fulfilled with 1*
My stay in the sixth ward was in a word a blast :-) all the nurses, especially the baby ones were absolutely amazing and helpful. I never thought I would get such support and help in breastfeeding, which I really wanted. After 4 days, it really did work out, and this was despite the fact that the women in our family just never breastfed because they couldn't. The superior room was super and well equipped, absolutely nothing was missing. The food was amazing, I would really highlight that. I couldn't believe that this was hospital food :-) I felt like I was at a spa or health resort rather than a hospital. There was a visiting ban in place during my hospitalization, which was probably the best thing that could have happened :-) not only is it great that the ward wasn't overwhelmed with excited and sick relatives, but you really had time to get comfortable with your new role and get to know your baby.
I used to go to the consulting room to see Dr. Teslik and I must say that I always looked forward to it. Mr. Doctor could compete in the "cutie of the year" poll. He didn't make anything too harsh and I liked that very much, even though the baby had a higher weight estimation and my doctor was scaring me with different scenarios, Mr. Doctor stayed calm and the birth was completely spontaneous and natural. I never waited more than half an hour for an appointment, which is perfectly fine with me.
I will definitely recommend Hořovice Mate
