Internal Medicine Ward
The department is located on the first floor of the hospital building and has beds for both men and women; bedside cardiac monitoring (telemetry) is available.
The Internal Medicine Department provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of diseases in accordance with current trends in internal medicine.
When necessary, it works closely with centers outside the region—particularly with the cardiology centers at Na Homolce Hospital, Motol University Hospital, the Department of Internal Medicine at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Plzeň University Hospital, the dialysis unit in Beroun, and other facilities.
Our physicians provide round-the-clock consultation services across all hospital departments.
For patients requiring follow-up care, the services of a health and social worker are available;
and the department also works closely with the Department of Rehabilitation and Follow-up Care at Beroun Hospital.
Room Amenities
Rooms are equipped with electric adjustable beds, a nightstand, a wardrobe,
private bathroom facilities (toilet with shower in every room), a television, and free Wi-Fi access.

Providing Information to Relatives
Only with the patient’s consent (upon admission to the ward, the patient provides in writing the names of the people who
may be informed about their medical condition); the attending physician provides this information between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Acute Care Unit – IMCU (Intermediate Care)
Provides care for acute patients requiring monitoring of basic vital signs (breathing, blood pressure, heart rate).
A device is available here to provide respiratory support without the need for anesthesia (noninvasive ventilation).
Internal Medicine ICU
It has beds within a multidisciplinary ICU.
It provides care for the most critically ill patients, particularly those with failure of vital organs. If necessary, in collaboration with AICU physicians, temporary full respiratory or renal support can be provided (mechanical ventilation, dialysis).
In addition to acute patients, elective procedures are also performed here—such as treatment for cardiac arrhythmias (electrical cardioversion).

to outpatient physicians. These outpatient clinics provide a wide range of specialized examinations.
