"We are glad that there is interest among young people in studying medical school. Students from the Secondary Medical School in Beroun come to us and to our sister hospital, the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun, for practice and we are always happy that they stay with us after completing their studies even on a full-time basis," says Jiří Pichlík, head nurse at the Hořovice Hospital.
"Today, students from primary schools in Hořovice and Cerhovice came. The students were mainly interested in information about operations and the competences they would have in their area of expertise," says Jiří Pichlík. "I myself am a graduate of the Secondary Medical School in Beroun and I completed my internship at the Hořovice Hospital, where I have been going since the first year of my studies, so the choice of workplace was clear. Even today, two students, after visiting the hospital wards, have decided to take up a part-time job with us, which we of course welcome. It's always better when young people try out a job before they actually do it."
"The profession of a general nurse is gaining popularity again nowadays and we are glad that we can bring the students closer to the job with our own eyes," says Andrea Kropáčová, Head of the Human Resources Department at Hořovice Hospital.
Students of the Secondary Health School also come to the Hořovice Hospital to do professional practice as part of their final exams.
