Children of the employees of the Beroun and Hořovice hospitals had their holidays diversified with suburban camps full of games and fun.

"The NEMO children's group is available for preschool children at the Hořovice hospital. A similar project will be in operation this year at the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital. During the "big" holidays, we also wanted to accommodate parents of children who are already of school age, so we organised several rounds of suburban camps," says Dana Antalová, head of the NEMO children's group at the Hořovice Hospital.

"During our camp, which was called Aladdin's Magic Lamp, children divided into three teams competed together. The whole week was in the spirit of fun, games and unforgettable experiences, when children tried out all the characteristics of the central fairy tale characters in various games, for which they collected points according to their success rate," says Kristýna Sedláčková, the head of the suburban camp.

"Our week-long programme included, among other things, a trip to Zvířátkov, a screening of the fairy tale Aladdin and plenty of personal time for various children's games. As a souvenir, the children took away handmade T-shirts and neon bracelets, or survival bracelets, which the children knitted themselves from a strong parachute cord," added Barbora Hořejší, the second of the camp leaders.

The suburban camps at the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun had their own mini Olympics, the children visited the Zemráj adventure park, searched for fossils in Svatý Jan pod Skalou and had an unforgettable ending celebration.

"Thank you very much for the great program for the children during the summer suburban camp at our hospital. My daughter was thrilled. She found 12 trilobites while looking for them and has them on display in her room. It is also a very nice memory when going through the journal that the children wrote every day. Thank you!" said Lucie Lišková from the Beroun hospital.
