More than forty children, together with their parents and siblings, enjoyed an afternoon of laughter, games and competitions in the open air. At the end of the day, each of the children received a souvenir medal and a few small gifts to remember this wonderful day. However, the greatest joy was visible in the eyes of the organizers themselves - nurses and doctors from the neonatology in Hořovice.
"The last time we saw most of the children was three years ago, when we were discharging them home. It always makes us incredibly happy when we see how happy and cheerful the children and parents return to the celebration," said Milena Dokoupilová, M.D., the head of the neonatology in Hořovice, with emotion. There was almost a family atmosphere at the meeting, as some of the children and their mothers had spent several weeks in the neonatology. These moments together are unforgettable, all present agreed.
The organization of the garden festival was taken over, also traditionally, by head nurse Mgr. Kamila Přádová. The nurses and doctors who were waiting for the children on that day welcomed them in adorable costumes. The children were greeted by Křemílek and Vochomůrka, cheerful ladybugs and cute giraffes, which created an unforgettable fairy-tale atmosphere.
This festival was not only a celebration of the courage and strength of the little warriors, but also a beautiful reminder of the moments they all spent together in the not always easy beginnings.
