"Little carolers with treasure boxes sang several carols. It was a nice meeting and we are glad that we could help by contributing," says Mgr. Jiří Pichlík, head nurse at the hospital. As usual, the proceeds of the collection in our area will support the Beroun Charity's outreach care service. The Tříkrál fundraising is still increasing, in 2019 it was almost 214.000,- CZK.
The organizer and organizer of the Tříkrál collection is Charity Czech Republic. The first year of the collection took place in 2000 in the Archdiocese of Olomouc. At that time, based on an old folk tradition, the first volunteers dressed as kings took to the streets and carolled for the needy. A year later, carols were already being taken in many places in the country and over time the Tříkrálová zbierka became the largest charity collection in the Czech Republic. This year the collection celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The aim of the collection is to spread joy and God's blessing and to raise funds to help people in a difficult situation that they cannot solve themselves.
