The new car park meets the latest requirements for barrier-free use. It has two hundred parking spaces. Its operation will solve the still difficult traffic situation in the vicinity of the hospital. According to Sotirios Zavalianis, the owner of the hospital in Horovice, the total investment for its construction is around 12 million. The new car park is located next to the hospital, opposite the pharmacy.
"On Monday, January 22, 2018, the barrier system was launched and with it the related change in the parking system and the fees for entering the hospital premises and the parking area," states Tomas Petsinis, operational and technical deputy of Hořovice Hospital. According to him, the first three hours of parking in the new car park will be free of charge. In order to avoid overloading the capacity of the new car park, parking longer than 3 hours will be sanctioned with CZK 30 for each additional hour. Blood donors will have four hours of free parking.
It will only be possible to enterthe hospital grounds free of charge for 20 minutes, which is sufficient time to drop off or pick up a patient. Longer delays on the hospital grounds are already subject to a fee. Parking on the premises will be divided into two time zones, from 06:00 to 22:00, where parking for up to one hour is charged at CZK 50. Each additional hour is 100 CZK. From 22:00 to 06:00 the first 180 minutes will be free, each additional hour 100 CZK. The only exception is for ZTP and ZTP/P card holders, who can stay in the hospital area for 4 hours for free, regardless of the time zone.
