The first baby of 2019 in the Central Bohemia Region was born in our country

Heliodor Sýkora was born on 1 January 2019 at 1:23 am. At birth he weighed 3760 grams and measured 49 centimeters. The happy parents are Lucie and Jan Sýkora from Rokycany.

The unusual name was chosen by his dad. The boy was named after the Czechoslovak soldier and legionary General Heliodor Pík, a prominent representative of the foreign Czechoslovak anti-Nazi resistance and a victim of the communist regime after the February coup.
