My colleagues stayed in Greece for a total of ten days. These were the most deserving or most popular health professionals who, during the Christmas parties last year, received certificates of thanks from the owner of the hospitals Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis for their work along with a voucher for an all inclusive stay for two people in Rhodes. The stay on the Greek island was divided into 3 dates, from 30 May to 30 June 2016, at the Ilyssion Hotel, near the ancient town of Lindos.
Most of the employees also took advantage of the optional tours of Rhodes. They learned about the history of the island from ancient times to the present day. During bus rides to historical sites, they heard fascinating myths from Greek mythology relating to the island of Rhodes, such as the building of the legendary statue of the Colossus.
And what were their impressions during their stay in Rhodes? "We met a wonderful group of people. We didn't want to go home, we would have extended our holiday," says Andrea Kropáčova, HR manager at the hospital in Horovice. Like the others, she took the opportunity to go on trips around the island. "Apart from the crystal clear sea and good food, we also enjoyed trips around the island and beyond to the island of Chalki. The historical sites and the landscape of Rhodes captivated us. The Greeks were very friendly and hospitable to us outside the hotel," summarizes Mrs. Kropáčová.
Most of our holidaymakers visited the capital of Rhodes with its ancient streets and massive Crusader fortresses. They had the opportunity to swim in the Aegean Sea and visit other interesting sites and places. All the staff of the hospitals unanimously praised the virtues of Greek cuisine. They all returned home safely and brought back Greek honey, olive oil and olives for their loved ones to taste.
