Pupils of the Hostomice Primary School were folded into children's patients

Last Monday, an unusual delegation visited the children's ward. It consisted of pupils of the highest year of the Primary School in Hostomice, who came accompanied by Ing. Eduard Polách, headmaster of the school and also Mgr. Šarka Syrová, their teacher, and brought with them, besides broad smiles and good mood, a sum of almost six and a half thousand, which they and their classmates decided to donate to our children's department.

The children were thanked for their interest and help by MUDr. Mahulena Mojžíšová, the head of the children's ward, who together with her colleagues welcomed them to the ward and subsequently gave them a tour. "We are really grateful to the children for their gift. It is nice that they think about us and our little patients," said Dr Mojžíšová. "With the money raised, we intend to purchase a transport cot for newborns and small infants for our inpatient ward. We will be proud of the donation made by the pupils of the Hostomice school and we will look forward to further possible cooperation," added the head doctor.

This action by the Hostomice Primary School is certainly not unique. Every year, its pupils choose a project or a helping organisation and then make a financial contribution across the whole school. In the past years, the money raised has gone to, for example, the Special Kindergarten and Children's Home in Beroun, the Asylum House in Lochovice or a dog shelter.

We would like to thank the children, their teachers and the school management for their support and we keep our fingers crossed for more good projects.
