As part of the prepared programme, the Prime Minister was introduced to the AKESO holding, which includes, among others, the Hořovice Hospital, the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital and the Multiscan Oncological and Radiodiagnostic Centre in Pardubice.

"I have visited an awful lot of hospitals in the Czech Republic, even with former Health Minister Adam Vojtěch, but I have never seen such care and such concern for the staff." With these words, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic , Andrej Babiš, opened a press briefing in our hospital.

As part of the prepared programme, the Prime Minister was introduced to the AKESO holding, which includes, among others, the Hořovice Hospital, the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital and the Multiscan Oncological and Radiodiagnostic Centre in Pardubice.

"The main topic of our meeting was the new extension project of the Hořovice Hospital, which not only aims to increase the bed capacity by up to 270 standard care beds, 22 ARO beds and 30 ICU beds, but also provides for a new unique emergency department and 12 state-of-the-art operating theatres. The intention of the whole concept is to create a new generation hospital that will be ready for a rapid transformation into a pandemic facility in the event of another epidemic," described Sotirios Zavalianis, owner of AKESO Holding.

"I think the state could learn a lot of good things here," concluded Mr Babiš after a tour of selected departments of our hospital.
