Hořovice pharmacy joined the campaign for skin cancer prevention

The "Become a skinchecker" campaign is a campaign to prevent melanoma of the skin outside dermatologists' offices. The aim of the campaign is to bring as many people as possible to dermatologists who will expertly examine and, if necessary, catch melanoma in its early stages, which is currently the eighth most common type of cancer in the country.

The campaign aims to bring as many people as possible to dermatologists who will expertly examine and, if necessary, catch melanoma in its early stages, which is currently the eighth most common type of cancer in the country.
"This type of cancer is the most successfully treatable disease, provided it is treated early. With a simple examination, people can check their skin moles themselves," explains Mgr. Zdeňka Matoušková from the pharmacy in Horovice.
The best prevention against this disease is lifelong protection of the skin with sunscreen. According to a recent study, 126 dermatologists in the Czech Republic were surveyed. The study shows that the most recommended sunscreen by dermatologists is the complete line of Anthelios products from La Roche Posay.
