At the turn of the year, VAT changed in the Czech Republic, which also affected the prices of medicines and food supplements. Nevertheless, the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy tries to meet the needs of patients and continue to maintain favourable prices. In addition, it is constantly expanding its offer. For example, the pharmacy now offers top-quality French dermocosmetics, but also a wide range of products for mothers and newborns, from pacifiers, baby bottles, thermometers to electronic breast milk pumps.

"We get a range of products for mums, newborns and babies from Avent who have special packs for babies. We are now able to offer mums a breast pump along with a microwave steriliser which is completely free. Thanks to this, they will save 800 crowns, which is certainly pleasant," said the head of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy Mgr. Tomáš Veverka.

The pharmacy also offers a range of milk formulas and porridges with a composition adapted to the age of the baby. We can also find preparations that are intended, for example, for children allergic to milk protein. Of interest are products that are beneficial for bloating and indigestion. In addition, the pharmacy also offers a wide range of snacks and teas. They buy breastfeeding supplies, creams and ointments to lubricate their babies, baby cosmetics, maternity pads. Recently, there's been a lot of interest in the babymonitor, which monitors the baby's breathing. It is a special pad placed in the cot that monitors the baby's breathing," explained Mgr. Tomáš Veverka.

A brand new product of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy is a special dermocosmetics of the French brand La Roche-Posay. The Hořovice hospital pharmacy is the only partner pharmacy of this brand in the area. The cosmetics are designed for sensitive skin and include not only a range of products for face, body and hair care, but also cosmetics designed for atopic skin. Of course, there is also a range designed for sunbathing with a high protection factor. Mgr. Tomáš Veverka also added that in addition to La Roche-Posay, a complete line of Eucerin and other French Bioderma cosmetics are also available at the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy.
