Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy has already issued more than two thousand drug cards

Clients of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy will receive discounts on medicines, individual counselling and an overview of their medication history if they become holders of a drug card. Through it, patients can apply discounts on selected goods.

The fact that the pharmacy of the Hořovice hospital has already issued more than two thousand of them is proof of the great interest in the drug cards.

Client drug cards are another step towards improving services to patients. They will receive comprehensive advice. With their consent, the pharmacist can monitor their medication history and thus advise them better. However, the drug cards are not only about better advice, but also about discounts, of which there are many, according to the head of the pharmacy of the Hořovice hospital, Tomáš Veverka. "With the customer card, the client gets a 10% discount on the top-ups for most medicines and many medicines are individually discounted. The drug cards are used by employees of the hospitals in Hořovice and Beroun, seniors and patients from the Hořovice, Berounsko and Zbirožsko regions," said Tomáš Veverka, who said the pharmacy also provides short-term discounts for a period of 2 to 3 months.

"Discounts on vitamin preparations and dietary supplements from Walmark and Nefdesanté are most often applied to free sales. These are Omega-3, Pharmaton Geriavit, Oyster Mushroom and Proenzi-3 joint nutrition," explained Tomáš Veverka, adding that some discounts are especially welcomed by mothers with children who, for example, get a free steriliser when buying a breast milk pump. Other discounts apply to baby porridge or a mucus extractor.

Clients of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy, including Blanka Poláková from Hořovice, confirm that the drug cards pay off. "I cannot praise the staff here, who are extremely helpful. I can always ask anything and the pharmacist will discuss the whole matter with me. In addition, I also appreciate the discounts on medicines that I have thanks to the client card, which are quite significant from time to time," said Blanka Poláková.

Marie Komínková from Osek has also had a positive experience with the drug card and has been using it for about a year. "As pensioners, we save every penny, so I definitely welcome the discounts on medicines and sometimes I save quite a large amount. I got the drug card for free. All I had to do was fill in a questionnaire and I got a discount on my medication straight away. That's why I recommended the card to my sister," said Marie Komínková.

Every patient is entitled to a drug card, so don't be shy to ask for a plastic card with a barcode. It will not only give you discounts on medicines, but also help you to better understand your health problems.
