Hockey players fought for Hořovice oncology

In November, an exceptional charity hockey match between Spartak Žebrák and Lv Benesov took place, which brought not only the joy of sport, but also significant financial support to cancer patients of our company Multiscan. The event took place on the ice rink in Hořovice and the result of the match was not at all important in this case. The patronage of this event was provided by the town of Žebrák headed by the mayor Bc. Pavel Horázný.

The event raised CZK 135,495, which was donated in full to the Oncology Department. Marek Potěšil, the organizer of the event, took over the ceremony and handed over the cheque together with the Mayor of Žebrák.

"We have been thinking for a long time and considering what to buy for this nice sum in order to improve the facilities of our outpatient clinics or to make the treatment itself more pleasant for our patients. In the end, we agreed that the amount would help in the purchase of a diagnostic device," explains Multiscan Executive Director Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová, who together with the head of the local oncology in Hořovice , MUDr. Martin Šmakal, accepted the cheque with great gratitude.

The organizers, the players and the medical holding AKESO, which includes oncology facilities in the Pardubice Region and the hospital in Hořovice, are grateful to everyone who attended the hockey match and contributed to this success. The hockey match not only underlined the strength of solidarity between the local and Benesov community, but also between the hockey players who together achieved such a nice financial gain.
