The Beroun Secondary School of Nursing received a grant from the EEA Funds and established cooperation with the Fjölbrautaskoli Sudurnesja Secondary School from Iceland within the framework of the Mobility Projects. The aim of the project is to exchange experiences between teachers, teach using the CLIL method, inspire new approaches - all to increase motivation to learn. In the second week of November a study stay of 4 Icelandic teachers took place in Beroun.

The programme was varied, educational and very beneficial for both parties involved. We were pleased that the visit was received and welcomed at the town hall by representatives of the town of Beroun, Mayor Soňa Chalupová and Deputy Mayor Dušan Tomčo. During the week, two workshops on Iceland and the school and health system in Iceland were held at the school. Students had the opportunity to learn new information about this interesting country. The whole program of the visit was in English, at the end there was a discussion, students asked inquisitive questions. The CLIL teaching method was demonstrated in first aid and nursing classes, in laboratory exercises in biology and chemistry and other subjects.

The most interesting point of the programme was a visit to the Hořovice Hospital, where our students do their professional practice. The Icelandic visit was amazed by the top level and modern equipment of the visited departments. We are pleased that our international visit was warmly welcomed by the hospital management and allowed us to see the modern facilities of the hospital. The meeting with the teachers from the Icelandic school was of great benefit to the teachers and students of the school, both in the educational and communication fields. We will continue to support and develop the cooperation between the schools.
