Our candidate, Andrea Růžičková, has been working in the health sector for 20 years. She started as a bedside nurse in the surgical ward of Hořovice Hospital and currently holds the position of head nurse of the orthopaedic ward. "She organizes and manages the work of nurses and other non-medical medical staff in the orthopedic department very well. Under her leadership, the department achieves very good results in nursing care, which is really a lot in this department," says Blanka Červenková, head nurse at Hořovice Hospital. The fact that the nurses do not stop here is evidenced by the fact that in a year they treat more than 800 patients with hip or knee replacements, among other patients. "Andrea is extremely hardworking and reliable. Together with the doctors and other medical staff in the orthopaedic department, she is a major contributor to the high level of care provided to patients in this department. She also receives praise from patients, who especially appreciate her empathy, positive attitude, kindness and smile," says the head of the orthopaedics department, Ms Červenková.
Andrea Růžičková's appearance is unmissable because she is a truly beautiful and elegant woman. However, she is definitely not one of those women nurses who take advantage of their beauty. She is modest, kind, has a very pleasant manner and a sense of humour. These qualities, in addition to her responsibility and diligence, have earned her not only the respect of the male medical team of the Hořovice orthopaedic clinic, but also the appreciation of her colleagues and patients. Andrea is a mother of two teenage sons to whom she devotes most of her free time. They play sports together, in the summer they like cycling and in the winter they go skiing. She spends a lot of her free time accompanying her younger son, who plays tennis successfully. If she manages to have some time for herself, she likes to go to the theatre, she likes musicals.
Andrea Růžičková is the first ever candidate of the Hořovice hospital in this competition. In a way, she represents the nursing work of all nurses and it would be nice to support her, through this website www.sestramehosrdce.cz, which will be opened for voting on February 1, 2017.
