"The Hořovice hospital is keeping up with the trend of establishing company nurseries. It seems to me to be a very sensible investment that will make life easier for our employees who have children of preschool age. At the same time, we believe that thanks to its operation, nurses and doctors will be able to return to work a little earlier," says Michal Průša, M.D., MBA, Director of the Hořovice Hospital.
The children's group service will be operated in a new modern facility on the hospital premises. "We are now working intensively on the interior of the building and selecting suitable equipment so that the children will like it here. The operating hours are set from 5.30 am to 6.30 pm. The costs associated with child care are set at CZK 600 for a whole month of attendance," says Mgr. Daniela Korosová, head of the hospital nursery.
The children will be cared for by qualified caregivers - educators with experience in the pedagogical, social and medical fields and one child helper who has completed a nanny course. So far, about twenty employees of the hospital have expressed their wish to place their children in the new nursery. Pediatrician Jana Djakow, a mother of two who is currently on maternity leave, emphasizes the benefits of the nursery for working mothers and for her personally. She is counting on placing her older three-year-old son and then her younger son's attendance in this kindergarten. She believes that the functioning of the nursery in the immediate vicinity of the hospital will enable her to return to the OCHRIP department at least part-time.
The nursery was built based on very futuristic plans, is shaped like a five-pointed star, and sits right next to the children's ward of the hospital. The budget for the construction of the entire building is estimated at around six to seven million crowns.
