More and more, and quite rightly, people are talking about reducing the risk of infections in relation to the quality of care provided in hospitals. This also applies directly to hand hygiene. The Hořovice Hospital is also focusing intensively on this area in order to improve the quality of care and safety of its patients, and the recent visit of a foreign representative of the HARTMANN - RICO, a.s. organisation shows that it is succeeding.

Christian Penke, a representative of Hartmann - BODE from Hamburg, visited the Hořovice hospital together with his Prague colleagues on Tuesday 12 January. Together with Blanka Červenková, the head nurse of the hospital, they visited the internal medicine, neonatal and anaesthesiology and resuscitation wards. Here they had the opportunity to see not only the newly renovated premises and equipment, but also to get acquainted with how the safety of patients is ensured in the hospital in terms of possible transmission of infections. The representatives of the Hartmann organisation then gave a very positive assessment of both the quality and the level of the hospital's equipment, praising, for example, the freely accessible disinfectant dispensers in the public areas of the hospital.

"Of course, we are very pleased with the praise," commented Blanka Červenková, head nurse of the Hořovice hospital. "It is a signal for us and also a motivation for further steps and continuous improvement in this area. Our goal is to be a safe hospital for the public," added the head nurse of Hořovice.
