The new parking lot will be on the land provided to the hospital by the town of Hořovice. The plans for the parking lot had to be revised several times due to lengthy approval procedures and extensive changes to the project documentation. Since the beginning of November, the road surface leading from the newly renovated pharmacy to the employee parking lot has also been being completed.
"The work to pave and asphalt the roads inside the hospital was recently completed. Now we can focus on the actual construction of the car park," says Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis, the owner of the hospital in Horovice. The proposed car park will be accessible from the local road to the hospital. It will have one entrance and exit and its capacity will be 208 parking spaces. "The construction budget is around CZK 15 million," says Ing. Zavalianis and adds that the car park will be put into operation during 2017.
According to Ing. Ondřej Nesměrák, the designer of the car park, a parking system with barriers will be installed on the access road. The internal two-way road is designed to be six metres wide. The construction layer of the car park will consist of asphalt, while the pavements will be light-coloured.
"The car park will also have a standard number of parking spaces for vehicles for people with reduced mobility, as well as spaces reserved for mothers with prams. The other parking spaces are designed with a basic dimension of 5.0 m x 2.5 m," says Mr Nesmerak.
