1. 4. 2016

On Wednesday, 23 March, several doctors from gynaecological clinics from all over the Berounsko region met at the Hořovice hospital. The aim of this meeting was to personally meet the staff of the gynaecological department of the local hospital and to introduce them to the possibilities of providing care to patients with complicated diagnoses.

The construction of a brand new canteen, which will be used as a conference hall in addition to catering for employees, has just been completed at the Hořovice hospital, and the first of the planned events has already taken place there. It was a meeting of doctors from gynaecological clinics from Hořovice and Berounsko, especially private ones, who came to Hořovice on Wednesday 23 March 2016.

The whole event is "in charge" of MUDr. Vladimír Folauf, the head of the local gynecological department and was conceived as a friendly meeting over coffee. The aim was mainly to meet each other, often even to get to know each other personally and to discuss possibilities of cooperation. With his contribution, MUDr. Folauf presented the whole range of gynaecological procedures that can be performed by the clients of the invited gynaecologists. In particular, he emphasized the possibility of providing care to clients with complicated diagnoses, especially oncological or breast diseases.

Another contribution was made by MUDr. Aleš Klán, the long-standing head of the gynaecology and obstetrics department, who positively evaluated the cooperation with external interdisciplinary doctors, especially urologists, who provide special examinations for clients with urinary incontinence problems. Last but not least, he also pointed out that the clients of the invited doctors are not only gynaecologically ill women, but also pregnant women, for whom it is a matter of course that the care provided at the Obstetric Hospital U Sluneční brány is at a professional level. He emphasized the possibility of taking over the care of the future mother from the 31st week of pregnancy, as well as the prematurely born baby, who is cared for in the newly built and state-of-the-art neonatology department. At the end of the event, the guests were given the opportunity to ask questions and take a small tour of the gynaecology and obstetrics department.
