Those present were welcomed by MUDr. Mahulena Mojžíšová, head of the children's ward, and her deputy MUDr. Denisa Creasy. ("I consider the cooperation with the registering general practitioners to be quite crucial for the good functioning of comprehensive care for paediatric patients in our region. For this reason, too, we regularly hold seminars at our hospital that address pediatric issues from different perspectives and in a broad context. I dare to say that they are traditionally at a very high professional level and we always learn not only news, but also very practical information in the field," said MUDr. Mahulena Mojžíšová.
During the seminar, news concerning the operation of the outpatient clinics of the children's ward were presented. MUDr. Michal Malina PhD., head of the inpatient section of the children's ward, presented a paper summarizing the issue of bedwetting in children, its investigation and possible treatment. No less interesting was the contribution of Petr Mašát, MD, PhD, summarizing the most common orthopaedic problems of childhood. After a break, during which a lively discussion took place, a presentation by Leoš Teslík, MD, was given, describing comprehensively gynaecological problems of childhood and adolescence.
