The U Sluneční brány maternity hospital, which is the largest in the Central Bohemia Region in terms of the number of births, is sought out by an increasing number of future mothers. The maternity hospital is beautifully and modernly equipped and the team working here is a team that does its job with heart.

"We have now purchased a Combitrack for the maternity ward which can help during the first period of labour. It offers a number of options for relaxation during contractions and in between them," says Jana Zámková, station nurse of the labour wards.

The Combitrack is a mobile birthing system that supports natural gravity and thus helps the natural course of labour.

"The Combitrack device is one of the additional features available for the parturients in our maternity ward. At Sun Gate Maternity Hospital, we support natural childbirth. In the context of promoting natural childbirth, we emphasize non-pharmacological methods of pain control. Parents can move freely during labour and choose the position that suits them best. They can also use gymnastic balls, a birthing stool, a mat, a bath or a shower. Herbal infusion, which we have recently introduced, is in great demand. Aromatherapy is also popular. We also have all the modern pharmacological methods of pain control, including the use of the paradise gas - Entonox," says Mrs Zámková.
