Due to the planned increase of delivery rooms, the existing premises of the Maternity Hospital at the Sun Gate will be reconstructed. Admission for birth will not be restricted in any way. Spontaneous and operative deliveries will be conducted in adapted rooms in the gynaecology department.

"Mothers will be admitted to the gynaecology ward to give birth. From February 19, mums-to-be must use the path from the central reception, past the Post Intensive Care for Children (CIP) building and then use the lift to the third floor. If they arrive by car, they can use the parking lot for visitors and patients in front of the hospital grounds. The route will be marked with signs after entering the hospital grounds," says Tomas Petsinis, the operations and technical deputy of the Hořovice Hospital.

"Already now, pregnant patients are being described the route they can take to reach us during the reconstruction. Plan
We hand out the route map at talks for pregnant women and we explain the route to them during antenatal examinations and monitor recordings," says Mgr. Pavla Fíkarová, head nurse of the gynaecology and obstetrics department.

According to the plans, the reconstruction should take place by June this year. The new rooms will bring even more comfort to the mothers and will be equipped with more modern technology.
