"Due to the ever-increasing number of people infected with COVID-19, we have decided to take further action to ensure that our patients are more protected. As of today, 20 March 2020, there is only one entrance for patients to enter the hospital and that is through the central reception of the hospital, which is located in the right wing," says Michal Průša, MD, Director of the Hořovice Hospital and adds: "We ask all patients who seek any medical assistance to use only this entrance. Before entering the hospital in the fitting tent, a basic medical examination will take place to separate patients with suspected COVID infection. The filtration tent is manned by top medical students who have volunteered to man the tent. These med students will perform basic screening, such as taking temperatures. After the screening, patients will then be able to enter the hospital and undergo examination or treatment in the appropriate specialist clinic or department. We would also like to reiterate that there is a ban on visitors in all departments of the hospital. If you feel ill and have symptoms of respiratory illness such as cough and temperature, do not enter the hospital and deal with the situation without direct contact with a doctor. Contact your GP by telephone or by calling 112 or 1212 to discuss the next steps. Thank you for your understanding."
