The maternity hospital at Sluneční brána will have a fourth delivery room

9. 1. 2019

In a few weeks, the reconstruction of the complete premises of the Maternity Hospital at Sluneční brána will begin. The reconstruction of the rooms will include the delivery rooms and the operating theatre. The operation of the maternity ward will not be disrupted in any way.

Moms-to-be have nothing to worry about. During the reconstruction, deliveries will take place in the gynaecology department, where we have adapted rooms for these needs.

"The operation of the maternity ward will be maintained in full in the alternative premises, with all the equipment preserved," says Tomáš Petsinis, the operational and technical deputy of the Hořovice Hospital. "According to the plans, the reconstruction should take place by June this year. The new rooms will bring even more comfort to the parents and will be equipped with more modern technology. The premises will be expanded by one fully equipped delivery room," he adds.

The renovation of the premises was already necessary. The number of births in our hospital is still rising. Last year alone, the total number of babies born in 2018 was 1,795, 50 more than in 2017.
