The service is intended for mobile and self-driven patients who do not have the possibility of their own transport after treatment or discharge from hospital or who want to use comfortable and safe transport provided by the hospital. The service is provided free of charge for patients.
Regular departures every working day
Transportation takes place every weekday at regular times:
- 10:00
- 12:00
- 14:00
Pick-up point is at the Central Reception near the NIP building (see marked map). The capacity of the vehicle is 8 people and the service is available for addresses within a 10 km radius of the hospital.
Patients can use the service both after attending the outpatient clinic and after their hospital stay. On boarding, they hand the driver a completed ticket, which they receive at the outpatient clinic or ward from the medical staff.
Greater convenience and security for patients and their loved ones
The new service responds to frequent situations where patients face complicated transport home after examination or discharge. For some patients, organising transport can be challenging, especially if they do not have a family escort or public transport available at the appropriate time.
"From Hospital to Home" is designed to help in these situations and offer patients an easier, more comfortable and safer return home.
Medical transport continues to operate for patients with reduced mobility
The service is exclusively for mobile patients who are able to move independently. For patients with reduced mobility or immobile patients, transport will continue to be provided by the medical transport service according to standard procedures.
With the introduction of the new service, the hospital aims to further develop patient-centred care and to provide practical solutions that make the entire hospital visit more comfortable for patients - from admission to safe return home.
