Hořovice Hospital and Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital on dragon boats for the first time

This year, for the first time, both hospitals took part in the traditional dragon boat race, which took place on the weekend of 4 - 5 September at the Beroun camp. Both hospitals assembled crews of nearly 20 fearless paddlers and paddlers, whether they were management, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists or administrative staff.

"It was an excellent idea to enter the hospital," said MUDr. Markéta Veverková, head of the internal medicine department at Hořovice Hospital. "These races could be held more than once a year, it is another way of active relaxation, during which we can meet colleagues from other disciplines. Last but not least, the visitors of the event can also see that we are also just people," said the head doctor.


Although both hospitals fought with all their might, in a tough competition of 25 crews, they came 24th (RNB) and 21st (NH). "We have a lot to improve for next year," said Tomas Petsinis, Operations and Technical Deputy of Hořovice Hospital. "It would be nice to make a tradition out of this event and maybe even assemble more crews next year," added Deputy Tomas Petsinis.
