"The Hořovice hospital is keeping up with the trend of establishing company nurseries. It seems to me to be a very sensible investment that will make life easier for our employees who have children of preschool age. At the same time, we believe that thanks to its functioning, nurses and doctors will be able to return to work a little earlier," says Michal Průša, M.D., Director of the Hořovice Hospital.
According to the director, the nursery with a capacity of over twenty children will operate twelve hours a day. In a preliminary survey, more than twenty employees of the hospital expressed their wish to place their children in the new kindergarten. Pediatrician Jana Djakow, a mother of two who is currently on maternity leave, emphasizes the benefits of the nursery for working mothers and for her personally. In fact, she foresees the placement of her older two-year-old son and subsequently the placement of her younger son in this kindergarten. She believes that the functioning of the nursery in the immediate vicinity of the hospital will enable her to return to the OCHRIP department at least part-time.
According to the project plans, the nursery will be in the shape of a five-pointed star, and its construction has started next to the children's ward of the hospital. It is believed that the rough construction will be completed during the winter. The budget for the construction of the entire building is estimated at around six to seven million crowns.
